We recognize that some in our local community may be financially struggling at this time in particular because of Covid-19. Should you apply, we will endeavour to help more quickly than usual.
The Hope United Charity is a relief-in-need charity whose roots go back to 1915. The charity exists to provide financial support to those who are struggling to find the necessities of life through adversity. The Object of the charity is the relief of persons resident in the Ancient Parish of Hope, Flintshire, who are in need, hardship or distress by:
Making grants of money to such persons
Providing or paying for goods, services or facilities for them
Making grants of money to other persons or bodies who provide goods, services or facilities to those in need.
Examples of what the charity can provide are funding for facilities or services in the home to help the disabled; expenses in connection with visiting dependents in hospital; and some services in care-homes or nursing homes which are not funded by the local authority.
Grant Application Forms can be obtained from the Secretary to the Hope United Charity, Mrs Norma Mollard by emailing normamollard@hotmail.com or telephoning 01244 545686.
The charity’s funds are administered by trustees who meet twice a year to approve grant applications. Applicants are required to demonstrate how they are in need.
