A550 (Wrexham Road) - Roadworks (updated 18.03.22)

Update - 18.03.2022. FCC have now advised that all schemes programmed in to begin shortly will now have their start date delayed until after the election period. This means that the start date for the Hope Safer Routes in the Communities (scheme below) will not begin until after the 5th May along with any proposed Traffic Regulation Order’s.

Contractors GH James are commencing works on the 28th March for a duration of 12 weeks.

• Implementation of 3m shared use off- road facility along the length of the A550 from Penyffordd roundabout connecting to the existing footway provision at Mountain View housing estate.

• Implementation of a Toucan Crossing over the A550 Wrexham Road. This facility will connect into the above proposed shared use facility on the A550.

The traffic signals will be manually controlled during peak times. The traffic management will be removed for the Easter weekend.

FCC will be issuing a press release and will letter drop to the affected residents
