Warning Signs to Look Out For:

County Lines Drug Dealing is one of the most serious threats which young people and vulnerable people face. Organised Criminal Gangs are operating from the northern cities of Liverpool and Manchester and are causing severe misery in North Wales rural communities like Hope and Caergwrle. 

Warning Signs include: 

  • Change in behaviour

  • ·Signs of assault and/or malnutrition

  • Access to numerous phones

  • Use of unusual terms e.g. going country

  • Associating with gangs

  • Unexplained bus or train tickets

  • School truancy or going missing

  • Unexplained gifts (clothes, trainers) and cash 

Local residents need to be aware of the warning signs and tell CrimeStoppers what they know on 0800 555111 or email www.crimestoppers-uk.org  anonymously.

CrimeStoppers wants to know:

  • Names of individuals involved

  • Addresses

  • Mobile phone numbers of individuals if known

  • Car registration numbers of those visiting premises

  • Types of drugs involved.

Flintshire Youth Services have advised they are currently completing some DACS (drug and alcohol community support) within the Hope area this is to support the police in the need to help reduce the ASB and substance use in the area.
