Changes to the LT4 and LT8 Bus Service (Fflecsi)

Information received from Flintshire County Council:

I am writing to inform you of changes to the local travel arrangements currently operating within your area.

By way of background, in July 2021, Flintshire County Council introduced a new pre-bookable “Fflecsi” transport service in Holywell and the surrounding areas. Fflecsi is a different way to travel by bus and an exciting new service from Transport for Wales (TfW), which is being delivered in numerous locations across Wales in partnership with local authorities and local bus operators.

The introduction of the new Fflecsi service in Holywell (replacing the previous local travel arrangements operating) has proven a great success and has resulted in an significant increase in patronage in the Holywell area.

Given the success of the Holywell Fflecsi service and our commitment to review existing Local Travel Arrangements, we are pleased to announce that the LT4 (Buckley) & LT8 (Caergwrle, Penyffordd, Higher Kinnerton & Broughton) will be replaced with a new Fflecsi service from Monday the 15th August, 2022, offering Bus travel in the existing service areas and extending to communities not previously served on two dedicated F.C.C branded minibuses.

The attached Fflecsi leaflet gives an overview of the new service and a similar leaflet will also be published on the Flintshire County Council website and via social media pages, as well as a press release.
