Christmas Reverse Advent Calendar

Some frequently asked questions from previous years.

How does a Reverse Advent Calendar work?

Starting in November, each day you collect and put away an item of food or toiletries. Once the reverse calendar is complete you drop off your items at one of our local foodbanks or donation points.

Why November and not December?

Our Foodbank Warehouse volunteers will be collecting, sorting and packing the items in early December ready for distribution to our clients in time for Christmas.

If possible we ask that items are dropped off by December 4th.

If you decide to do the reverse advent calendar in December the items will still be collected and will be distributed to families in need in the new year.

Can I change the items on the list?

Yes, the items are suggestions only of items we frequently supply, you may wish to substitute any of the items list with alternatives. We accept all non-perishable items such as tinned/dried/long life items.

The items we currently have plenty of at the moment are pasta, UHT Milk, Cereals, Soup and Beans.
