Police Community Alert System

North Wales Police are introducing a new system that they are starting to use. Different police forces are currently using it and it is really working and showing only positive feedback.

It’s called Community Alert System, it’s basically an App that members of the public (anyone) can download and sign up for. You can sign up yourself and it gives your phone notifications of what’s going on in the local area, you can choose the radius of where you want the alerts from i.e just issues happening in Hope, Caergrwle or Abermorddu or issues from the whole of South Flintshire. They can put updates on it which will be relevant to your area i.e parking issues outside a certain school or speeding on a certain road, ASB in certain areas. Members of the public can also ask questions. They think this will become a great way for the community to come together and also build good relations with the police.
