Walking and cycling in Flintshire

A message from Flintshire County Council.

Dear All,

As part of our continuing consultation on how we can make journeys on foot or by cycle across Flintshire easier and safer for everyone, we want to encourage as many people across Flintshire as possible to engage in this opportunity, particularly those who don’t currently walk or cycle often and people who use mobility aids.

It is really important that a wide range of local people share their ideas with us because we use the Active Travel Network Map to guide our work to improve walking and cycling within the county. This will help us make sure that the routes built for walking and cycling work for the whole community.

So that we can collect people’s ideas and suggestions we have developed an interactive map that enables people to pinpoint places across the county and leave comments and feedback. The online map is open for comments to be added until 1 July 2021 so further information and the chance to leave feedback and add comments go to https://flintshire.commonplace.is/

If you have access to the internet but prefer not to use the interactive map to register your ideas and suggestions, you can email active.travel@flintshire.gov.uk  and we will note your ideas, input and feedback and add them to the map on your behalf.

Alternatively, you can register your ideas and suggestions by calling on 01352 701234.

Please can we ask you to share this opportunity with any and all contacts in your local networks and ask organisations that you work with or are aware of to circulate this to their contacts and networks as well.

Many of you will have been contacted in the first call to action but some organisations have been added more recently, so apologies if you have not heard about this before now and thank you in advance for your help with this and if you have any questions please do get in touch.
